Hi All,

Background:

I have CPU319F-3PN/DP (6ES7 318-3FL01-0AB0), I have created the new project (Failsafe/Safety project) in TIA portal v16 (as In TIA portal by default Failsafe/Safety activation is ON, while creating the hardware configuration) and downloaded into the CPU, all went well (PLC is is Run, can go online).

Problem:

But now I wanted to use the same CPU319F-3PN/DP for the project which don't have safety blocks (Normal Project/without Failsafe/Safety), but unfortunately I can not download new HW configuration (which has Failsafe/Safety disabled).

It is giving me an error while downloading "The safety attribute on the module cannot be overwritten by a configuration that does not have a safety attribute. The download will not be executed."

To solve the issue, I did below things:

1. Downloaded only software blocks and not the hardware configuration-It allowed me to download.

After that, I tried to download only hardware configuration-  It did not allow me to download.

(I knew the issue of F-attribute is in hardware)

2. I went online to the CPU and deleted all safety blocks and tried to download the complete Project (without safety) but it did not allow me to download and again giving me the error, "The safety attribute on the module cannot be overwritten by a configuration that does not have a safety attribute. The download will not be executed."

3. I tried same thing mention in point 2 with Simatic Manager but same error again.

4. I did MRES but no luck.

5. I have gone through the TIA portal help topic Deleting the safety program-

Deleting the entire safety program for S7-300/400 F‑CPUs with inserted memory card (SIMATIC Micro memory card or flash card)

Where it is saying,

Delete all the safety related blocks from your project and disable safety and compile it.(which was the easiest part I did)

But now next thing is it is saying,

To delete a safety program on the Memory Card (SIMATIC Micro Memory Card or Flash Card), insert the Memory Card (SIMATIC Micro Memory Card or Flash Card) in the programming device or PC or in a SIMATIC USB prommer.

Need Help:

I stuck here, and can't use the CPU for non safety project to download. Has anyone faced this problem, if yes then could you please let me know is there any way to solve without using Simatic USB prommer(I don't have it) ?

After trying to reset the PLC as mentioned in the above procedure the problem is still there.
