 Oh no, that's the same temporary problem with Siemens, as it existed already in the old Forum.

Color designs OK but that's about it.

navigation (menu's) are everywhere and nowhere...

> actions : not very clear

upload button disappears if filename of attachment is too long

only 1 file at a time can be selected/uploaded as attachment

still no decent advanced search functionality for the forum

links inside topics redirecting to the old non-existing locations

....

I think this migration should have been tested for a few months by selected 'normal' forum users before the big roll-out.

It would have been nice to have had some tutorial information or introduction video even. But what is done is done and this format is now here. 

All we can do is make constructive suggestions and try and help each other through the transition. If we can survive going from S5 to S7 to TIA.. then we can beat this one too.

Dear Moderators.. I am sure you guys are having a tough time now. It is long and difficult to get this type of job done - and then to be paid with ungrateful comments are very unfair. Not all is in your control either. I wish you good luck getting through this!

I think if we (members) should remind ourselves to all the times we installed equipment and the client is not happy with it. Not for a job badly done but because it is not what the client imagined he will get. Sometimes what we did for the client is better than what he had in mind - but only the client that is open minded gets to see the designer's (better) purpose.

From our own business dealing we know that both client and supplier have the option of breaking the bond or try to mend fences. Sometimes there is nothing else we can do but watch while we loose a customer's business. Yet.. the world keeps turning.     This situation should be far less in consequence.

• "Create PDF" option for topics and stuff seems gone
• Printing of topics results in very small printed font size
• sometimes saved new urls give "temporary unavailable" message

 True but you can only select 1 file, not multiple ones and you can't attach more than one in the same post.

If you want to add 3 screenshots for example, you still have to make a single zip-file first

 Yes, you are right.

Perhaps some users avoid the problems with the editor and do not answer...

Talking for me,
I nearly drop 20% of my posts away because Editor hang...

If it is necessary to edit a Quote (i.e. different points of an issue,
you are lost!

Perhaps administration will give me an answer now like
"that was wanted" or "we tested it in uselab and are very satisfied"...

(Not speaking against Moderation but against responsible Administration)

Because you are such a good friend of mine, I am going to help you out..

When using the Editor you should not use the BACKSPACE key. Not ever, because as soon as you do that random text deletes happen or editing mode is deselected.

What you should do instead is use you mighty mouse and select what you want to delete and press DELETE, then use your mighty mouse again to move your cursor to the right position.

As you know, pressing ENTER jumps the cursor to the new paragraph. If you are looking for the new line, then use SHIFT + ENTER. Now you will see that the cursor most of the time jumps to the next line and then jumps back to where it came from. Remember now to use your DOWN_KEY to move down to the new line where you want to continue your editing.

BUT.. the biggest mistake to make is to try and use the in-forum editor. You can use the Private Message editor instead and copy from there or use your favourite word processor and copy from there. Using a word processor you can also spell check.

At this point, since the new look, I gave up visiting the forum daily 

..whatever happened, I can see an improvement in the usage of the Forum.
- faster loading speed (?)
- BACKSPACE key works correctly in the text editor (!)

Sorry - I have bad news. The trouble with the backspace key is not resolved.  Earlier the speed was good and there was no problem with the backspace key. Now the speed is slower and the backspace key again delete text in an unpredictable way.

One backspace key press is okay.. but hitting it repeatedly causes an issue.SHIFT + ENTER is also strange.. the cursor sometimes jumps back to the original line.

Maybe it happens only with me... it is like that under Firefox and IE.   I hope there is someone who can confirm this behaviour happening to them too. Else it would mean that there is a bug on my system.
