Good morning,

this morning this issue happen also to me. I have tryd to do the what you describe below but without any result.

I'm using TIA V13 sp1 and i cannot go online, the only interface present is teleservice.

If i open PG/PC interface, this is totally empty.

Any other suggestion?

Please check the check box available at the ethernet card at set pg/pc ---> LLDP/DCP if not checked then do it

and same with the PNIO adaptor

the another thing you can check is the interface add/remove 

try to add the drivers

and if feeling problems then post it

also post the snapshots

if you decide to uninstall TIA and again install fresh, pls after uninstall run some CCleaner or similiar cleaning application. There's also Christoph's some good link how to propper clean system before TIA install, maybe he'll post it here. After cleaning your system, run TIA installer with Administrator rights. Give info pls.

question is, what did you change/install/reinstall from that time before. You must know this, post info. Also last solution can be roll back in System Restore to some point, this helped me, but look for time of backups to not go to so long history point.

i have the same problem with PG/PC interaface. I am using W10Pro with TIA v13. I tried every recommandations witch is descrebe above, but still nothink. I  attached statue of PG/PC, last logfile after delete ...OAM/data and run s7epaIMP64x.exe. 

When i tried run online connect to PLC (s7-1512 F), TIa wrote me notife, see attached as a Error_TIAv13.

Hello, You should use CCleaner software to uninstall it.

Then fix registry key by CCleaner.

After reinstall TIA PORTAL., Good luck!

Could be a problem in W10 pro? Because about 4 mounth pg/pc was going without problem.

actually TIA is not working with Win10. See the delivery note:

after downgrade W10 to W8.1 Pro will be everything ok?

I used the fix described at the following link and it recreated the proper interfaces when I installed it on a windows 10 machine.   Try this

FIRST OF ALL --> CLOSE ALL PROGRAMS 

THEN RUN services.msc WITH ADMINSTRATOR PREVILAGES.

FIND SIMATIC PNDISCOVERY IN EXTENDED SECTION. AS SHOWN IN PICTURE.

THEN OPEN IT. STOP FROM RUNNING STATUS. THEN AGAIN START.

RESTART DESKTOP PC. 

PROBLEM RESOLVED.

This is what i have!!!

 I had the same problem, I did not have any communication modules in pg/pc interfaces in my WIN8.1. I also tried the methods listed in this post, but to no avail. After running the software in compatibility with WIN7 and administrator rights, the problem was solved.

Resurrecting an old thread that seems to live forever

This is a description on how I got up and running again, maybe it can help someone else.

Some days ago I had the same problem with an empty PG/PC interface after doing general update of TIA portal, it took a couple of tries with Siemens support (First Denmark then Germany) and their solution was installing "PC IDENTIFIER", but my machine refused to install as it told me it was already installed in a newer version.

At the third try with the newest version of "PC IDENTIFIER" it worked like a charm, interfaces was restored and things where working again.

After some curious digging on my part, it turned out that I had Proneta installed in a newer version than the first two PC IDENTIFIER installs I got from Siemens, and PC IDENTIFIER is a part of Proneta and it hides in the Misc folder.

I don't know if it helps just to run the PC IDENTIFIER from the Proneta installation, but I suspect it might.

restarting of Sevisces.msc helped me as well but only for one day, the another the same problem appeared agai and the third day the same problem again.

Has anybody had this problem and solution for this?

I had today the same issue after installing V17 RT UPD8, empty PG/PC interface window...

s7epaiMP64x.exe didn't work because some missing .dll files...

updateing PC Identifier (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109812676) was not working because the installed one was newer...

My solution: uninstall everything what needs the "Set PG/PC Interface (32-bit)" from the Control Panel. if this is removed you can reboot und install your software again.

I my case it was just V17 RT and old flexible RT but it worked.
