Is counter directly connected to high speed input or counter is inside the UDF?

How much and whether it also differs in it , is counter directly connected to high speed input or counter is inside the UDF and then is "directly" connection? Hello erku, at next time please make a own topic for your question. I think, that the high speed counting no longer can count to 5 kHz if the counter is in a UDF. The UDF is calling cyclically, so the counting frequency is dependent on the cycle time.
