grego_l Experienced Member Joined: 6/25/2009 Last visit: 12/18/2025 Posts: 37 Rating: (5)	Hello Is it possible to connect SINAMICS V90 integrated safety function “Safe Torque Off” (STO) directly to S7-1500F F-DQ 8x24V DC/2A PPM 6ES7 526-2BF00-0AB0 output card? In FAQ Connecting safety outputs to safety Inputs of SINAMICS V90 in examples with PLC connection it is always done via relay fail safe output for instance with F-RO: 6ES7138-4FR00-0AA0 card. Can I connect directly 526-2BF00-0AB0 digital safety outputs to safety inputs of V90. If it is possible, how it should be wired?

Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 1/20/2026 Posts: 6051 Rating: (828)	Hello, the V90 won`t tolerate the test pulses of the F-DQ and as a result STO of the V90 would be triggered in event of a test pulse. You can`t parameterize any filters for the V90 F-DI like on SINAMICS S120 or G120 units.
