axis actual modulo cycles

My axis has absolute encoder, so I suppose that 'actual modulo cycles' will be remanent over power cycling the cabinet? I see it is a dint value. will value go up to 2³¹ and overflow to 0 again, or wil it got to 2³² before going to 0?
