Hello! How does the contacts on the pre-contacted Profibus cable from Siemens look like? Product: 6XV1830-3DH50, Product Details - Industry Mall - Siemens Sweden we have a cable from another manufacturer that doesn't work since the contacts are wrong. attached image of what we want the connectors to look like! Can you give us the non-functionning cable's make and model, so we can help you determine why it does not fit Profibus standards? Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello Johannes; Look up the product number of your (not-connectabe-to-Profbus) cable, and search for its description on Lapp Kabel's website. Lapp Kable manufactures Profibus cables using B-coded M12 connectors, as you can see in the screenshot below. For DeviceNet, they use A-coded connectors, for example, and these will not fit in a Profibus device.
