2 Buttons to SET a language.

It works, but if I power off the panel, it always starts again with the Language in position 0 of the list...

Why does it not retain the last language selected?

Regarding a similar case the information that I know is that the runtime is started in the last saved language.

To solve this behaviour, you can configure a button  with "SetLanguage". The language on the panel must then be switched to English. Then the runtime must be stopped with a button and the system function "StopRuntime".  Then the runtime is stopped and started in English at the next start.

yes it is defined as already posted here

you can also define it with workarounds as you want.

you could use the PLC to store the current activated language in a DB. then you can check in a dummy start screen of the Panel which Language is stored and then you can activate it (if you have a Panel with scripts).

(If you have a basic panel then you have to think more simple. Whats about a start screen where you have to decide in which language the Runtime should start. Or you work with area pointer Coordination anf if you see the panel in PLC then you can activate the language change with a tag trigger in the background.... (there is often more than one way to the goal))

It is strange because I never had this problem before. Usually the last language selected is the one that is available on startup!

I dont even trust the set/reset functions of the HMI (I do only the set and then the reset on the PLC...), but I guess I will have to manage also the language function directly on the PLC then...

For now I solved by redownloading the software of the HMI.
