Hello,

I have a project that is currently has an IPC 447 that is running WinCC Runtime Advanced v17.

I'm trying to download a TIA project to it but I'm getting stuck at not being able to find the device on the download screen, I'm able to ping it though. I'm unsure what interface to use as the IPC has 3 X1, X2, X2, I have heard that just some of them actually work for this (maybe I'm wrong).

I have set the PG/PC interface of the IPC as X1 already, I have selected the Transfer option and it's showing "Connecting to host..."

When I try to download I can see all the options greyed out (image bellow), this doesn't happens when I try to download the PLC project, which is strange. When I try to download the PLC software I'm able to select from the drop down menu all the interfaces I have available in this PG/PC.

I have tried to set the IP address manually on the "Use other IP" section but also no luck.

On the IPC "X1" I have configured IP address 10.206.486 and for "X2" 172.18.245.26.

For some reason when I try to download the IP address that it selects first to connect is this one:

Because of this I thought port X1 would not work for this and I have changed the RJ45 to X2 but also did not work.

Any ideas what else could I try?

I have tried on another computer (not Siemens IPC) and setting the HMI software as a PC station and adding a IE General ethernet card and it worked.

One thing that I forgot to mention is that I have installed the Soft Controller in this IPC, could it be that it's messing with some network interface card?

I think I know what could be causing this:

I have in this IPC a Soft controller S7 1508S installed and I think because of it the "Channel" is set to "PC station 2.x". And I can't change that because it's greyed out.

My solution was to uninstall the Soft controller and then it worked.

Well this means I could not get the Soft controller S7 1508S to work along with the WinCC Runtime Advanced V17 running on the same IPC 477, because the WinCC Runtime Loader Channel setting is "PC Station 2.x" and also greyed out.

No clue how to proceed from here...
