Hi all, 

We have been spotting a common issue with the KTP400 HMI (BASIC) we are using, or maybe the issue is starting from elsewhere. 

Basically on certain fields, when engineers are viewing it is show '0' within. 
These are on fields that correlate to vital parts of the machine logic, therefore if the address value was actually 0, the machine would not work. 

Every time we spot this, the machine is still working fine, so the actual value must still be correct.
5.35 for example, within the S7-1200. 

In the past, any communication errors between the 2 give us the standard '####', but this isnt happening this time. 

We have seen this on 3 seperate fields now, all of these are integer data types. 

Can someone please advise what could be causing this? 

Hi Jae04,

A question, does it happen only with these 3 I/O fields or with all of them? If it is with those 3 I would first check in the PLC the value that the variable associated to the I/O field has at that moment.

If it is correct in the PLC, then I would check in HMI the address to which it points.

I would also create an I/O field from zero, no copy paste. If it is with all I/O fields then it is a communication failure.

Originally we only found this on 1 field, but now its been seen on 3 seperate fields. 

I have asked engineers to notify me when they find this again so I can remote connect and check the PLC value, but i'm fairly certain this will be the correct figure. Only due to the fact that if the figure was set to 0 as its displaying, then the machines turntable would just not rotate. But, when found on this specific field, all is working fine.

I have just checked and they're down as just  input (mode)

I also checked the recipes and theres nothing in there.
