I'm using WinCC Unified V19 with an MTP2200 comfort panel and an IPC627E with WinCC Unified PC RT.

My project requires both HMI's to read the data from an SQLite database on the IPC for their alarms and data logs. The PC RT on the IPC will write the alarms and data logs to the SQLite database from the PLC. The IPC and MTP will both write event alarms (OperatorInputInformation) on button clicks etc which will be stored in the alarm log in the SQLite database on the IPC.

The setup for the IPC is standard given the database is stored locally in its file system. My question is, how do I get the MTP to connect to the IPC database? I only have the option of SD or USB in the settings. Can I do this by script?

Could the system provided logging work with SQLite if I changed the MTP2200 to a PC RT and networked a drive? Ideally I would like to avoid purchasing a license to use MS SQL and I'm only logging maybe 500 tags at the most.

Is there an easier way of doing this you could recommend?
