While I am experienced in TIA Portal versions of WinCC, I am new to WinCC V8. I am working on a system where we have multiple operator stations. I want to create a global acknowledge where when an alarm is acknowledged at any operator station, I write to a tag on the PLC that will then acknowledge the alarm/alarms on the other operator stations. In WinCC V8, writing a 10, 11, or 18 to the alarm control object ToolbarButtonClick, an alarm is acknowledged. My thinking is if  AlarmControl.ToolbarButtonClick = 10, 11, or 18, then PLC tag GlobalAcknowledge = AlarmControl.ToolbarButtonClick. Then at the operator stations, if PLC tag GlobalAcknowledge = 10, 11, or 18, then AlarmControl.ToolbarButtonClick = GlobalAcknowledge.  The problem is I can't find an internal tag associated with that object. Does anyone have a way to acknowledge multiple operator stations from an alarm acknowledge at any station?

Redundancy requirements, like in the Marine industry, do not allow any single point failures in the system. A failure of the Server in a Server - Client system is a single point failure. For this reason, at least 2 Server - Client setups are required. I'm used to writing my alarm manager in the PLC software and using WinCC as indication and logging only so single acknowledgement isn't an issue. It only became an issue when using the alarm manager in the HMI.
