I have a few 1511-1 PN CPUs, with each of them having some measurements and cumulative counters. Customer would like to have DBs of these snapshotted regularly, or to find an alternative way.

Am I correct to think, that snapshotting a DB is done in TIA project, so a CPU without programming station can not snapshot itself?

I also looked into Read_DBL and Writ_DBL blocks, but with these we still have the same problem, only difference is the data being in a different DB.

Any other ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hello, what is the intention of the snapshot?

I'm guessing the objective is to have this information available to restore the equipment to a recent state.

this one I also have not done it, but from my understanding you create a CSV file that you can import afterwards.

Sorry for late answer.

Intention behind snapshotting is to regularly move current values to be available as start values, in case of something going sideways. As you guessed, ability to restore recent state. I'll look into your solutions once I have time again, currently customer is doing everything manually with a laptop.
