Hi, That is a good question. The "including OpenPCS 7" text can be interpreted that when you order an OS client update package, that the license of OpenPCS7 is automatically upgraded just like SFC Visualization. I think your assumption is correct, because there are no upgrade licenses for OpenPCS7 available. You have basically two options for licensing of OpenPCS7: OpenPCS7 station or an operator station with OpenPCS7. For the last one, you have to order separate licenses like OS software client and SFC visualization. The OS update package makes sure you get updated licenses for the whole station. However, the Product Information page does not mention OpenPCS7 at all. If you want to be sure, I suggest you contact Siemens. And let us know the result

It's hidden in the catalog SUS matrix of the document you referenced. Catalog ST PCS 7 (system components) SIMATIC PCS 7 for V10.0 page 1/6 is where you can find the info. TLDR: The SUS for OpenPCS 7 is covered by OS server or OS single station SUS. Therefore OS server upgrade or Single station upgrade also upgrades OpenPCS 7. OS client does not. |
