Even though it is a S7 product, the scope of delivery includes an adapter for S5 PROMs: Scope of delivery

Hello Paul if you do have in fact an EEPROM (Electrically Eraseable Programmable ROM), you can use the 100U itself to(erase and) program it. Attached isthe relevant instruction page from the S5 100U System Manual (the whole manual can be found HERE). If you do however have a typo in your post and it is an EPROM, Daniel Chartier's way would be the easiest (plus a cheap UV lamp to erase the EPROM). I hope this helps |

Hi. Thanks for the swift reply. Can you tell me how to erase a S5 eprom and once erased can I use the S5 PLC to write it? Thanks Paul |
