Modbus Modbus Slave on both port's on CPU 226

MRK Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hi, I am using CPU 226 and both ports are required to be configured as Modbus Slave. Pleasehelp me in this regardsas, i am not able to configure both ports as Modbus slave. If possible please send me example if any for configuration. Thanks in advance

Therefore there is S7-200 Tips and Tricks and you have TIP41. Try to look at this tip and see the attached example. I don't know if it is possible to run slave on both ports, but try to look for yourself. Its open source. Attachment tip041b.zip (295 Downloads)

In 2 minutes you can change it to work on other port: you must change instructions which set up the port 0 to 1 (what means move data to SMB130 instead SMB30, SMB186..194 instead 86..94), change XMT and RCV commands to port 1 and ATCH appropriate events. All is around 5-7 lines to change. Then you may multiple subroutines and set up two modbuses at a time. If you have time enough or memory lack, you may merge subroutines in the way they would use the same CRC calculation procedures and so. Greetings, Peter
