Changing profibus address of mp270

Goodas Posts: 37 Rating: (0)	Hi I am trying to change the profibus address of a mp270. I edit the new address in "S7-transfer settings" on the deivce and then perform a reboot, however the address does not change. I alsountick the "panel is the only master on the bus" and this also comes back as ticked after reboot.There are 6 other HMI's on the network and have never had a problem with these. Am I missing something? Also wheni view the network over accessible nodes the device with existing address does not appear. I have changed this for an ET200 and this does appear on the network so wiring is o.k. Any ideas please.

The Brain Posts: 1611 Rating: (121)	Hi, did you have try to use the Button "Transfer" under the control panel and set there the profibus settings? After you have set the Profibus settings, did you after thentransfer a new project to the panel? or did you only make a reboot? Inthe control panel under "OP > Perisent Storage" you can try to use "Save Regestry" and "Save files" mybe this could be help. regards,

Goodas Posts: 37 Rating: (0)	Hi Brain, thanks for reply. Yes I changed address in "TRANSFER" and saved files and registry in "OP". I have notdownloaded the project as this remains o.k. Just trying to change profibus address from 5 to 8but it still reverts back to the original setting after a REBOOT or power down. O.K I have just discovered the address only reverts back to the original when the profibus plug is plugged into the device. Anymore ideas.
