DO with a Contactor

Palestine Posts: 74 Rating: (0)	Hello all I have a DO Card (6ES7322-1BL00-0AA0) form theTechnical Data for thecard the max output current is 0.5 A. my question is, what i should do to connect a contactor directly (how to select it, wire it and what kind of safty do ineed). Best regards

Hike Posts: 138 Rating: (0)	Palestine, u didn't mentioned how much the contactor coil draws on 24Vdc. If it lies with in the range of 0.5A then you don't need to connect extra relay or some thing else. However if this rating is exceeded then u may either use a 24v dc relay to drive the contactor or can use darlington optocoupler which in turn will increase safety for your DO module.

If the coil consume more than the channel limit (in your case: 0.5A), you can use also DO relay module. examples for DO Relay modules: 6ES7322-1HH01-0AA0 & 6ES7322-1HF01-0AA0. Regards,
