How S7-200 PLC talk to TP177Micro Touch Panel?

ZOEZHAO Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Dear all, My PLC is "S7-200" use "STEP 7- Micro/WIN" to do the PLC program. CPU is EW 277 profibus-DP My HMI is "TP177Micro Touch Panel" use "WinCC flexible Advance 2008" to do the graphic design. And I also have TD200 to be connected. Now I want to integrate S7-200 with TP177Micro Touch panel. I cannot use WinCC flexible 2008 "Integrate in STEP 7" option to do the integration, because the integrate function does not support S7-200. And from this Q&Ahttp://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/38797081, look at bottom of the page. It tells that "You cannot integrate Micro Panels, e.g. a TP177micro, into STEP 7." Can I use profibus to integrate S7-200 and TP177Micro? Anyone can help me? Zoe

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, you do not need to "integrate" Wincc flex to STEP7 Micro. Wincc flex is a standalone SW tool to configure panels. Micro/WIN is a standalone tool to program S7-200. Configure the panel with Wincc flex and download your configuration to the panel. Create the S7-200 program with Step7 MicroWIN and download. Connect the panel to the PLC and if every thisng is done well it will work. A little differnet is the TD200. The configuration of the TD is part of STEP7 MicroWIN and so the configuration of a TD is part of the S7-200 program. I hope this helps

You can connect this panel using either PPI protocol either MPI protocol. About integration all in one. TD200 allow to be in "one project with S7-200 CPU. You know this. But to integration of TP177Micro I think is not possible. best regards, Hristo Mihalev

From TP177Micro Manual (checkpicture: S7-200 WITH TP177) It shows that only MPI cable can be used. So do I just use MPI cable connect these two devices? which port I should connect? Port 0, or 1? Do I need do setting for this port 0 or 1? And I also have EM 277 with Profibus module, does this module play a part with these two device? ZOEZHAO Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	HI, I guess these two devices are very old product, so even I ask technical support from Siemens, he told me these two devices cannot link together. For those who are new to S7-200 and TP177Micro. This two devices can be linked together using MPI protocol. Programming are doneseparately, and use MPI cable to connect these two devices. My HMI baud rate it's 187.5K use port 1. PLC baud rate is 9600, so just use Step 7 Micro/WIN to set port 1 baud rate at 187.5K, these two devices can talk.
