LOGO Level Scaling

Bradley Smalberger Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I have a level transmitter with a fixed 4-20mA output which is wired into my LOGO and am displaying the level on the TD. However when the tank is 100% full I only have a 16mA signal from the level transmitter. Since I can't change the level transmitter how can I scale the 16mA signal to show 100% on the TD ?

Bradley Smalberger Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi MrPaiva, I am using a Analog threshold trigger block with a measurement range of 0 - 104, a gain of 0.13 and an offset of -26. If I change the measurement range it changes the gain and offset and then my TD display starts at a negative percentage.

2700Hp Logo! Posts: 37 Rating: (0)	You will have to change both the gain and the offset to make this work. The gain to get the empty to full range is correct, and the offset to ensure that empty is 0%. Good luck. Using y=mx+c (m=gain, c=offset, y=%full and x=logo input value) 16mA (100%) will be read as 800 on the Logo, and 4mA (0%): 200(I think). Then m=100/(800-200)= 0.1666 Then c=100-(0.1666*800)= -33.28 However as this is based on a few assumptions you might want to check the logic (and maths).
