Simatic Distributed Safety Programming

canaris Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello everybody, I started my first program in Simatic Distributed Safety and I encoutered a problem from the begining : I read in the Configuring and Programimg MAnual, after the hardware configuration is saved and compiled an F-I/O DB is automatically created. I configured everyhig as safety, I/Os modules, CPU 315F-2DP in hardware configuration, i pushed on save and compile and I switched on SIMATIC Manger explorer. The problem is I don't see any F-DBgenerated there.When I try to open the safety program editor I got the message : " The F shared DB does not exist in the safety program". May be I missed to do something.Please advise me what has to be done. Thanks in advance

What is generated, when you save and compile? Do you see the message 'initializing safety programm'? Best regards, Wizard

I configured the IO cards in safety mode.I pushed "save and compile" button but I didn't see the message " 'initializing safety program", so in consequence I don't have any F-DB for F-IOsgenerated by the safety program. I have on my computer (with valid licences) the folowings programs: 1.Step7 ProfessionalV5.4 2.S7 DistributedSAfety Programming V5.4 + SP1 3.S7 Configuration Pack V1 + SP1 As far as I read the documentation from SIEMENS website, with this configuration should work, but as Imentioned above, the Safety Program is not even createdduring the phase of save and compile of thehardware configuration.

Go to tab Protection, here you'll have to put in a password (level 3). And just check the option 'This cpu contains a safety programm', you'll have to select this. Hope this will help.
