CPU-315-2DP stops when IM361 looses power

R.GH.B. Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello Everyone. I have a project with 3 racks (CPU-315-2DP and IM360 on centeral rack and IM361 on extension racks). There are 3 independent processes to control so each rack holds the I/Os of one process. Here is the problem: I used a separate circuit breaker to supply each rack. When I power on or off any of extension racks, CPU goes to STOP mode. I checked Diagnostic Buffer, it says something about module sychronization error (I do not remember the message precisely). I have already added OB122 (module access error) and OB82( I/O_FLT1) but it does not prevent CPU from stopping in this situation. Is there any solution? Since the process on each rack is indepedent from others, I don't want the CPU stops when I power off the extension racks. any help will be appretiated.

R.GH.B. Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Yes. you're right. I've noticed that there is no reference to any OB in the message of CPU in Diagnostic Buffer. Does it mean that there is no way to prevent this issue? I think,it'll be wiser to use ET200 interface modules for my future projects insteed of IM360/IM361

R.GH.B. Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	thanks for the link. The event message was the same but the issue was a different one. In my case every thing works fine with no error LEDs or events. The problem comes up when (for any reason) I power off one of the extension racks - CPU goes to STOP mode- then if I change the Mode switch on CPU from RUN to STOP and again to RUN, CPU stays in RUN mode and program runs for the centeral rack and the other extension rack. Now, when I power on that extension rack, CPU stops again and I have to change the switch from RUN to STOP to RUN once more. In brief, I don't want the power failure on any extension rack causes CPU stop.
