Siemens motors 1LA and 1LG are certified for Zone 2 and inverter mode (MICROMASTER and some SINAMICS). But be aware that for every hazard zone the installed equipment has to be controlled by an authorised person / office.For more information pls. contact your local Siemens partner Notes Non-sparking - Ex nA Principle Prevents sparks and inadmissibly high temperatures. This means that in normal operation it is not permissible that the motor causes sparks, arcing or inadmissibly high temperatures. Data Category: 3G Application zone: Zone 2 Designation: EEx nAMotor types: 1LA6, 1LA7, 1LA8, 1LA9, 1LG4/6 Standards: IEC/EN 60079-15 Engineering information Temperature Classes T1 to T3 Ambient temperatures, –20°C²¹up to + 60 °C, whereby above 40 °C the motor has to be de-rated. Certified drive converters: MICROMASTER 4 / MASTERDRIVES VC / SINAMICS G110 / S120 and SIMATIC ET200S FC (until they have been finally certified other Siemens drive inverters are possible if an enquiryis sent to the factory). Version for Zone 2 *for drive inverter operation, reduced power* (rated data for drive inverter operation for "non-sparking" motors is stamped on the rating plate). In compliance with Standards EN / IEC 60079-15 (previously EN 50021) motor - drive inverter units must be tested as single, combined unit! For the following Siemens motor - drive inverter combinations this test has already been carried-out.
