Out Control Posts: 204 Rating: (1)	Hi, I have 2 motors work together each one is 2.2 kw/ the operation is start/stop at two fixed frequncies. it will start/stop 5 times per minute. and the load on it is 40 tons. I select mm440 5.5kw for this application.. are there a problem in operation?

You can run 2 motors of 2,2 kw on a 5.5 kw drive. Remember to give both motors it's own overload protection, because the micromaster cannot detect if one motor is overloaded. Regards, Marcjan

Dolf Experienced Member Joined: 12/18/2006 Last visit: 9/2/2025 Posts: 21 Rating: (2)	Use motors whit PTC inside, and connect it to special PTC relays ( or one Motor to the PTC relay and one to the Micromaster). This will protect the motors for overheating. Especially if one motor do more power than the other, by mechanical faillure of one of the motors connection to the application. Dolf.
