PROFIBUS DP ERROR

young Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I have a new grinder with 840d sl cnc, it was made in morara Italy. whenI turn on the power,it hasn't any errors,it can run in x1,x2 and Z axes, but when I run the wheel , It alarms with profibus dp error. I use step7 to diagose the adresses of distribute node, sometime it was 04 or 05,and sometimes it was 0A. And the control power (24VDC) is ok. the shield ofdp cable is ok. rantu Posts: 38 Rating: (0)	HI, Profibus DP alarm when error node is not constant then mostly the problem is Profibus cable shielding. Even though cable looks OK butI strongly feel it's cable shield problem, because this problem is comming when you wheel is made running/switched ONi.e. EMC problem. Your cable signals are getting distorted when drive is switched ON. One way is Probifus cable to be cut once again at node after node. Important do not twist the shield wires of Profibus cable. Make sure that shield is round the cable i.e. Circumference of cable. I hope this will solve the problem. Rantu
