For example, 1 ms, 1 sec, 1m,1 hr, etc... 1ms = 1 msec 1s = 1sec 1m = 1min 1h = 1hr 1d = 1day The provided help with the S7-1200 V11 is found by searching for this: TIME (IEC time)

Ifyou hadbothered to look at the help in V10.5 you would have found it much faster than waiting for a response in these forums. That search phrase ( "TIME (IEC time)" ) returns the exact same information in V10.5 as it does in V11. You will find people more helpful if you at least try to find it on your own.

Back to AB where they dont accuse you of not trying hard enough. )*( I'll be in that group that admits where you're going back is the easy road to success but do like the significant cost savings available with the Siemens hardware/software tools. The help files are written at an engineer vs technician level, do not translate well to my native language, and structured in a way that for me turns out highly counter-productive and example shy. That said, whena phrase was suggestedto searchwhich works in V11, if you had searched for the exact same phrase and replied, I use 10.5 and that search phrase worked for me but I'm still lost, that is very different. At this point, your original question has been answered multiple times in at least 2 different ways. Are you still stuck? If so, click in the ???? region, type your time # followed by the unit of measure. AB and others, you pick the timer's unit of measureand shove in a number. S7 you type in the time with the unit of measure. One timer fits all time frames. There are tutorials on-line for the S7-1200 PLC and TIA Portal. It would help to give them a shot and speed along the process. I know it helped me transition from other PLC programming methods and get us to speed (mostly) fairly quickly. Some of the tag addressing is still weird to me, especially when it comes to passing pointers to DB data for variable buffer sizes. Stick to it and it will save time and money soon enough.
