Petukhov Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I am commissioning MM430. For a fast stop I wish to use DC braking. However on BOP screen DC-braking is displayed, and really it is not present. Differences between time with simple a stop and with a stop with DC-braking are not present. Parametres P1230, P1232, P1233, P1234 do not change to a situation. My file .dnl is attachment. JensS Posts: 739 Rating: (55)	There are two possibilities to ativate DC-braking. 1.) p1230 and one DIN P1230 = Enables DC braking via a signal applied from an external source, e.g. by using a DIN. Function remains active while external input signal is active (e.g. p0701// 722.0 = Digital input 1 requires P0701 to be set to 99, BICO) 2.) p1232 to p1234 and ON/OFF 1 When an OFF1 or OFF3 command is received by the drive, the output frequency starts to ramp to 0 Hz. When the output frequency reaches the value set in start frequency of DC braking P1234, the drive injects a DC braking current P1232 for the time duration set in P1233. P1233 = Defines level of DC current in [%] relative to rated motor current (P0305). The current of the DC-braking is limited by r0067. P1232 = Duration of DC brakingDefines duration for which DC injection braking is to be active following an OFF1 or OFF3 command. When an OFF1 or OFF3 command is received by the drive, the output frequency starts to ramp to 0 Hz. When the output frequency reaches the value set in P1234, the drive injects a DC braking current P1232 for the time duration set in P1233. P1234 = DC braking start frequencySets start frequency for DC braking.When an OFF1 or OFF3 command is received by the drive, the output frequency starts to ramp to 0 Hz. When the output frequency reaches the value set in start frequency of DC braking P1234, the drive injects a DC braking current P1232 for the time duration set in P1233. DC braking is not possible when using a synchronous motor (i.e. P0300 = 2). This delay time is set in P0347 (demagnetization time). If this delay is too short, overcurrent trips can occur. I suggest using p1236 Compound braking (don´t forget to disable Vdc-max controler p1240 = 0) The Compound Brake is an overlay of the DC brake function with regenerative braking (effective braking at the ramp) after OFF1 or OFF3. This enables braking with controlled motor frequency and a minimum of energy returned to the motor. Through optimization of the ramp-down time and the compound braking an efficient braking without additional HW components is possible.

Petukhov Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I am set P1230=0:0 P1232=70 (probe to 250) P1233=4 P1234=650 When motor start ramp to 0 Hz r0053.0 is set to 1 (and BOP display "DC"), but time for stopped motor do not change. Time OFF2 = Time (OFF1 +DC) Time (OFF1+DC) = 2* Time(OFF1 without DC) OFF3 and OFF2 are set to 1 during DC-brake - I am check!
