Giving speed reference to VFD

neo0111 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hello, I am using CPU 414-3H with SIMATIC S7 v5.4. The VFD used is Micromaster 420. I am supposed to vary the speed of the motor according to the level of water in adjacent tank. In logic, i am generating Start/Stop command for VFD after checking health condition and interlocks, like any other motor. Only difference in VFD FB is i am reading count read by analog input card measuring level in tank and passing this count to analog output giving speed reference to VFD. Is this a right approach? Also what should be done in VFD bypass mode.I am new to programming. Please guide.Thanks.
