It allows to define the same area twice, with diffrent datatypes. In my example, the local data starting in L0.0 is defined as string but also as an array of char. The function copies the characters of the string in the output array (removing the two header bytes of the string). You could use exactly the same trick in your problem. I'm sorry but I'm really new of Siemens world. the AG_SEND function need the ANY type of data. What is the junction point from ANY data type and STRING (or byte array) data type? grazie

As you can see in my example the array "Data".aResultCharArray is located in DB1 ("Data" is the symbolic name of DB1), and you can access it with P#DB1.dbx256.0 byte 254
