I am trying to read in 8 bits from a Digital Input Module as a byte. I declared a variable in a DB40 as a byte

Example:

KLIXON_DATA : BYTE;

Then in my OB1 program I issue the following command

DB40.KLIXON_DATA := IB0;

When I try to compile the program I receive and error. Can anyone please provide help?
