As I understand, most of the 16 first Di and 3Do will be used by the pulse counter. See page 192 of this document: Here! My question, if I only use 1 pulse counter (channel 0), do I still need to reserve all the inputs and outputs? Ton

I don't mind questions that are easy. http://www.aquametro.com/english/aquabasic_e.html This is one of the meters, doesn't get much easier then that I thought.. Also have some oil meters. I am just trying to count the pulses for an accumulated value. The distance is about 10 to 20 meters. We are using a external 24 VDC supply. Please see attachment. Thanks! I don't understand why I am not reading inputs from my meter, but I do get the right signals when testing directly on the PLC connectors.

Sometimes if the sensor has an open collector output, a pullup resistor to +24V can help. To calculate the resistor you need to know the max current your sensor can sink. Ussualy a 10K resistor would do the trick. regards, Marcjan
