S120 C320-2PN over Profinet-IO

alexfizeau Posts: 95 Rating: (0)	Hello. I have the following configuration: CPU 317F-2PN/DP v3.2 and a S120 CU320-2 PN v4.4 connected over ProfiNet. I need this system in order to drive 4 axes (X1/Y1 and X2/Y2) using 2 x Double Motor Modules. It is my first project of this kind and I have downloaded many handbooks for S120 but I couldn't find anywhere a reference/example for a configuration of this kind, all deal with Profibus-DP (integrated or not) configurations. IP address of 317F is 192.168.218.1, Device number 0. IP address of CU320 is 192.168.218.2, Device number 1. My questions are: 1. What kind of telegram protocol must I use ? (for the moment I have configured Siemens Telegramm 111) ? 2. Using ProfiNet, the number of axes in the S120 Drive object configuration is important and must be used a telegramm for each as for Profibus-DP ? 3. Can I use in this case IRT High Performance isochronous mode ? I have tried, but while compiling I get errors. Thank you in advance. Best regards, Ionut

Otherwise if you have a speed controlled axis a standard telegram (for example Standard telegram 2) could be enough. alexfizeau 2.
