poya_xp Posts: 167 Rating: (4)	Hi i think you mean phase and line in star and delta system. if i was right i can explain you.when said line voltage it means voltage between two phase in star system and phase voltage is voltage between a line an neutral point in star system. but in delta system phase voltage and line voltage are equal and in star system phase current and line current are equal. i attach a picture for more details. i hope it help you Attachment Phases_and_Lines.JPG (335 Downloads)

I want to know the exact technical difference between LINE & PHASE? e.g. why the input supply is termed as line, like in delta supply input voltage & supply voltageacross winding is same. How to distingwish between line, & phase? On voltage oron connection type? That is my question.
