I would like WinCC to create alarm/event for operator controls. Using "SetTagWithOperatorEvent" function it almost works. When called from a screenwindow that uses TagPrefix, the alarm generated does not contain the tag prefix, only the suffix is generated to alarmtext. Is it possible to do this so the whole tag is logged?

K!ke Posts: 1299 Rating: (136)	Hello, in the readme they say the tag prefix isn't supported for controls... I suggest this is the reason... think you have to add the tag prefix manually to the alarm text with scripting. K!ke

I was thinking of a workaround that if I could only read what tag prefix the screenwindow uses, then I could do like SetTagWithOperatorEvent "@NOTP::Tag.suffix", True But I have not found a way to read what tag prefix the screenwindow uses because it is not set static.

Skata Experienced Member Joined: 12/18/2006 Last visit: 10/22/2025 Posts: 89 Rating: (6)	Got it to work now by calling Dim tag tag = "@NOTP::"& parent.parent.parent.tagprefix & "TagSuffix" SetTagWithOperatorEvent tag, True Triple parent. seems to be needed because this is called from a button that is in a screenwindow in another screenwindow that has tagprefix set. Thank you Kike for your efforts.
