Intermittent F006 on rapid deceleration

Sometimes I get a DC Link Overvoltage fault. Why would this happen? No problems when accerlerating up to these level. Accel/Decel is set for 1 second. Unit is 6SE7016-0TP50 Thanks in advance for your insight. Andy

Unit is 6SE7016-0TP50 Thanks in advance for your insight. Hi Andy, firstly, I'm assuming that your "Enabled but not turning" post is now resolved? The reason for the Overvoltage during rapid deceleration is discussed MANY times on this forum. Your load is regenerating during a fast deceleration and needs to dissipate the energy the motor generates "somewhere". If there is nowhere for it to be dissipated, the DC Link voltage has no option but to rise. You can activate the VDC controller, but this has the negative side effect of lengthening your ramp down time. Alternatively, you need to use a braking resistor to burn off the generated energy. surendhar Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Try these steps. 1. If the DC voltage is really shooting up then Clean the resistance box. 2. If the DC voltage is not shooting up but fault is coming then Clean the ABO card in the drive or else try changing it. 3. If f006 is coming even after cleaning resistance box then Change the DBU. Graeme Platinum Expert Joined: 6/4/2008 Last visit: 8/5/2025 Posts: 1518 Rating: (327)	Hey Andy, there are SIGNIFICANT differences between what was v1.3 and what is now the latest version of STANDARD firmware v1.66 (As opposed to the Performance version running between v2.0 & v2,4) I have attached the errata Sheets for each of the subsequent versions since v1.3 so you can see what improvements/bugfixes etc were applied.
