Thank you for your reply although this isn't what I have been asking.
I will try to explain in bullet points.
> Create new project (all fine)
>Configure Device (ok)
>Add new device (ok)
-Simatic S 7 1200(ok)
-CPU(ok)
- Unspecified CPU(ok)
-6ES7 2XXXXX-XXXX (Click on it)(ok)
I am now in the project view clik on detect (scan for new devices)(ok)
Detect again asking for IP adress assignment (ok)
The adress was added (ok)
Now i am back in project view but PLC remains unspecified. (Device view , PLC transparent) and note that device is not specified .(fail)

And a note in right bottom corner <Module replacement between Unspecified CPU 1200 V4.0 and 6ES7 214-1AG31-OXB V3.0 not posssible .

I've manage to overlap this step by browsing hardware from cataloge worries about not being able to transfer data did't happen.
