Can the simulator create/write to/produce logging files ?

The simulator is really handy for verifying your code works fine say over a week, but is there any way to log via the data log block that everything is working as expected in the simulator.

Obviously I have run the code on a real LOGO 8 and it logs fine, but would like to run first on simulator.
