never used with MPI connection between PLC and HMI resistors ON hmmm. Give us schema about wiring your connectors with wires, but you must simply know what did you from that good functionality time, can you post info? You only talk about not functionality, but what situation was before that? Configuration of HMI? Change configuration on HMI, PG/PC Interface options? Look to this pls.

I understand your situation about solution with Adapter, but this looks simply as my old problem with connection, not same as you but also strange. Simply I need put one resistor to ON for functionality with my PG connection to PLC CPU. Did you try put only one resistor to ON? Show us pls screenshot of your HMI connection screen from WinCC, screenshot of your real connectors with cable (both sides), what MPI addresses have devices and PC, somewhere must be a problem...

I didn't find any solution for this mysterious problem, so finally I replaced the the CPU.

But I really didn't understand what was the actual problem ?
