I've bought it about two years ago, with runtime license 2005, and now that I'm going to use it I've updated my wincc to 2007. I've read in some Italians forum that is possibile to use 2005 licence on 2007 runtime, but I didn't find anyone who tried it and that gave me full informations on how to do it. On the support site I can't find anything so, as I don't want problems, I'm going to belarus with 2 pc, one with wincc2007 for all the small panels, and one with 2005 for the pc. Now the question is: is it possible to do? If so, there is a procedure for doing it? Thanks a lot Marcello Edit: I apologize, maybe is the wrong session to post

So editing a project and saving a project for 2005 Runtime is possible with 2007 but it's not possible to download or compile the project towards a 2005 RT system (panel or Runtime). What you could do is install WinCC Flex 2005 and use the 2007 license for this. This is a 'work around'.

Notes on runtime

As of Hotfix 3 a "WinCC flexible 2007 Runtime" can also run with a license key of "WinCC flexible 2005 Runtime". Hotfix 3 or higher has to be installed on the runtime system for this. Using the license key from the previous version is solely meant for tests and commissioning
