Flexible SQL error at startup (how to fix this?)

LPAR Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	Remark The installed updates before the WinCC Flex problems in my case are: KB958690 KB938464-v2 KB960225 PS. I use Win XP Prof. english SP3. I see in my log that the following updates where done a week before i got the problems: KB958690 KB960225 So i don't think they are the cause. The other one i cant find in my log. But since the beginning ofmy problem the KB955706 (SQL 2005 SP3) had failed many times. I have Win XP Prof SP3 (Dutch i think)

I have the program working on my laptop and have setup a desktop pc on the line, but I get this error on the desktop. (I archived the project on the laptop and retrieved the project on the desktop.) So far, tech support has not had the answer. Did you find a fix for this? Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Steve

I removed a whole list of programs with "Add/remove programs" WinCC flexible 2008 Microsoft SQL server 2005 Microsoft SQL server desktop engine (WinnCCflex) Microsoft SQL server Native client Microsoft SQL server VSS writer I also removed the directory as described in the FAQ that UMENCHO listed above. %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Data\WINCCFLEXEXPRESS Deleted the directories (otherwise reinstall SQL failed) C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$WINCCFLEXIBLE and C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1 After reboot I re-installed WinnCC fluxable 2008 again and finally it works again.... Terminate WinCC flexible and all processes "Hmies.exe" and "HmiSmartStart.exe" with the Windows TaskManager. Delete the content (all files) of the following folders. It is possible that some folders are not existing on your system. The path of the folders may vary, depending on the Windows version: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SIEMENS AG\ C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\SIEMENS AG\ C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\SIEMENS AG\ Delete everything in your %TEMP% folder (type %temp% in your Explorer open the folder) Delete all files that are possible to delete. Files that are currently in use can not be deleted (leave these in place). Now start WinCC flexible and create a new project. This first start might take some time, because WinCC flexible will now recreate some of the deleted files.

Tweety The method described in the link that Tweety mentioned has worked fine for me, it solves the issues for the new project creation. I had the same problem mentioned in the first post of this thread. Regards.

What caused this problem is unknown !? best regards, Remark Thanks a lot, it works for me. We need to delete folders... From my side, I think the problem is with windows authentification on sql server 2005 because i change my windows session to work with WINCC...
