I am running PLCSIM for a S7-300 project. In its CPU there are five PIW address 130, 132, 134, 136 and 138 assigned. But they are shown as invalid address in PLCSIM. They are not allowed to be modified either in PLCSIM or in varible table. Is this supposed to be like this? if so, any means i can modify it to mimicthe inputson these addressesfor simulation?

Hello,

It is possible to change peripheral inputs via PLCSIM,But first
download Hardware configuration data corresponds to a station
accommodates an analog input with mentioned address.Check
my case in attachment:

Input Variable View Object

Function

This view object allows you to monitor and modify the following data:

• Peripheral (external) input variables: You can access the peripheral input (PI) memory areas of the CPU. S7-PLCSIM displays a yellow background for the view object if the variable address corresponds to F-System peripheral I/O.

• Process input images: You can access the input (I) memory areas of the CPU. By default, the CPU overwrites the I memory with the PI memory at the beginning of every scan. If you change an I memory value, the simulation immediately copies the changed value to the peripheral area. This way, the desired change is not lost when the peripheral value overwrites the process input value on the next scan.

note:

Display of S7-300 PIs and PQs is not supported by S7-PLCSIM if connected via a CP card

S7-PLCSIM cannot display PIs and PQs for a simulated S7-300 if the PIs and PQs are connected via a CP card. The configuration of a CP card of a S7-300 differs from a S7-400. S7-PLCSIM only supports the CP card configuration of a S7-400.

To tell you the exact cause, We need the hardware
configuration.Please, upload it here if possible.There
are some assumptions,but they should be checked.

I am using V5.4+SP3, REvision No. V5.4.3.0

The invalid addresses are PIWs and PQWs in CPU only.The rest addressesare workingfine. Please see attached snapshot.

 I'm having hard time simulating PIW on my program using PLCSIM.

I have downloaded the HW setting. 

Pl see the attachment and suggest ways to resolve.

Hello again,

I have tested the scenario on both PLCSIM V5.4(SP4)
and PLCSIM V5.3(SP1).I have not encountered the same
problem.

My suggestion up to here,Select the integral analog module
on the CPU ,then right click and select "Monitor-Modify".See
what is the addresses suggested by HW.Config.Try to monitor
those addresses via input variables of PLCSIM.

If no success up to here, change the addresses to the default addresses
suggested by HW.Config.Compile and download them in to PLCSIM.
If the problem persists ask SIEMENS via Support Request for possible
bugs in that version of PLCSIM.
