Upgrade to WinCC Flex 2008

aikona Posts: 487 Rating: (36)	Hi Just got WinCC flex 2008 upgrade in the post.Question is : must you upgrade the firmware "again" on all the OP's/TP's or is there a way to keep the wincc flex 2007 firmware and keep working with it on Flex 2008 We have such a number of OP's that it takes about 2 days to update them all (If I have to wait because the full capacity is required it could take a week before all are done. Actualy the numbering for wincc flex sucks ie take wincc V6.2 it doesn't say 1 or 2 or 3 year old but WinCCflex 2005 ,well that feel old ,need to upgrade kind of feeling - Greetings Eric

Basically it must have one version older firmware support. So go to Project -> Transfer -> OS Update and press "Device status" - you should see current device version. Then go to device setting in Flexible and see if this firmware is supported by 2008 version.
