I currently bought some Siemens modules with different version from the ones sent to me by my clients.I have the biggest dissapointment when my clients returned back the 24 numbers of Siemens modules to me complaining that they were of different versions compared to the existing ones they have in their station although the model numbers are all the same with the ones they said I should buy. I need someone to advice me with what to do to ensure these sets of modules work with the existing ones in my clients station..The annoying part is that the seller of the modules told me that the items cannot be returned back.Kindly please advice me on what to do.The value in the bold letter is the version my client wants me to buy  but the company that sold the modules for me sold the same model no but different version compared to the ones my client want me to buy. I don't think there is a problem in using the IO modules. I believe versions matter only for CPU/CP.

Not applicable for IO modules. In my company, we never checked versions while ordering Signal Modules.

 no problem to use this module, the X is E- Stand module, are "inner Hardware changes" look below is for panel but is the same

Please, also confirm if there is a need to run any applications on these modules before usage or is it just a plug and play module.

pay attention at 7KF02 perhaps you have to adjust the black square on the left of the module          have a look a chapter 4.2.4:
