Hi,

i have an absolute encoder connected by profibus with the CPU S7-300.

I was fired by a servo jumper, I replaced it, but my encoder does not show the exact measure. I tried to rotate the axis of the encoder and set the amount to be measured, but the encoder can measure 850 to 2400. And I need a measure of 0 upwards. Can somehow reset an absolute encoder

Maybe it is lost in translation, but what do you mean by "fired by a servo jumper"?

My first impression is that you have had to change something in your system because it was danaged, and that after the change the encoder no longer gave you correct readings.

Did the encoder function well before the replacement? Could the encoder electronics have been damaged during the same incident?

Normally an absolute encoder will give you readings starting at 0, up to its max. count. You cannot "reset" the encoder, as Duris_I showed in the link he provided, the counts of an absolute encoder are determined by the pattern of the optical (or magnetic) rotating disk inside. Each step is encoded on the radial strips o the disk and there is no outside way to "reset" them.
