Hello everyone,

i have been asked to diagnose a problem with an AI8xTC module (6ES7331-7PF11-0AB0). The main issue is that the module is always reading opened/wire-broken channels (#7FFF) regardless of the connection that is made on the inputs.
I have tested pretty much everything that came to my mind:

• module power supply is ok, pin 40 (M-) is also correctly grounded (the same supply goes to all of the other installed modules)
  
• i checked online diagnostics with my PG, no alarm is activated
  
• configuration also seems OK, every channel is configured as TC-IL type K, wire-break is on overflow. (pins 35 to 38 are disconnected)
• tried changing the whole module with a spare one

I also tried short-circuiting all of the channels, expecting a different reading but it still reads as wire-break. What am i missing here?

The system is using IM153-2 with Siemens software redundancy, and all other modules installed on the rack are ok. This particular TC module is in the middle of the rack.

1. After short circuiting both input terminals, module should give ambient temperature (value multiplied by 10). Can u share hardware cnfg export file.

2. Can u share online hardware cnfg snaps & especially TC module diagnostics information.
