peter08 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello. I installed Service Pack 5 (SP5) for MicroWin. Is this SP5 cumulative? Does it include the updates of the previous SP, or should I install them as well?

aspirant Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	SP6 would not run on my WINXP SP3 machine. According to Siemens support it is because of the Norton antivirus software I use. Apparently it is a common problem among Norton users. I am told that Siemens is "working very hard" to eliminate this problem. Strangely enough SP6 is working fine on a Vista machine, which runs the same Norton software. In the meantime I have no compatibility between the XP and Vista machines; Vista can only run SP6 but older service packs can not open or edit files made with SP6. Does any one else have the same problem? Any workarounds?

Does any one else have the same problem? Any workarounds? Hi aspirant, I think it's more an XP SP3 problem. More easily said than done, but I'd suggest installing WinXP SP2. I don't believe that Norton is causing any problems. Gerard

aspirant Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi Gerard, Thank you for your suggestion. I didn't mention but I first tried SP6 when I still had the WinXP SP2. I actually installed the WinXP SP3 hoping that it would fix the problem... The STEP7-Micro/WIN SP6 is the first and only programme I tried, that would not run on my WinXP machine. All the older SPs ran just fine. I am currently using SP5.
