I/O Access Error Message??

kanan Posts: 133 Rating: (2)	Dear All, I have CPU 416-2-DP connected to the network. I have external error led on all the time and when I looked into Diagnostic Buffer it sais:"I/O access error when transferring the process image to the output module"?? dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 1/15/2026 Posts: 12481 Rating: (2722)	Hello kanan; If you go Online in the HWConfig editor, your defectivemodules will be shown with a red bar, you could thenreadily identify the unit that causes your diagnostics. If not, check which unit has a I/O interface starting at address 1550 (PIW or PQW) and a length of 128 bytes. Now, the Diagnostic Buffer message calls for OB85 in order to process that particular problem. So start by creating OB85 in your blocks folder, and download it to the PLC (no programming necessary at this point). Once the SF signal comes back, the Diagnostic buffer will have used OB85's local variables to collect more precise information, which you can save an send back to the forum if needed. kanan Posts: 133 Rating: (2)	Hello guys! thanks for reply! The thing is no modules(I/O module) shows error, only cpu itself. Also OB85 is present in project. I have looked for adress area -on cpu input and output modules there is no 1550 adress, you can see it in attached picture as well. About MLFB-I did not undestand what is this? I guess can it be from remote I/O station adress? regards

I have checked remote station project and there also was external error led on, and fined that one of the station(ABB motor start/stop station) was switch off and this station added to the network! so thats why both plc stations was giving alarm. Thank you very much all of you( especially Dcharter!)..Regards Kanan
