If I have ES(engineering Station) with a redundant server in a PCS7 project,is it possible to become online with ES computer?and I want to know from where I have to download the project to DCS,from ES or From Server?Is there any sample project which shows this kind of configuration?

In comparison, small systems or autarkic units after commissioning tend to work extremely poor regarding maintenance. Reaching a high efficiency there requires being able to work with as few PC stations as possible here. It therefore makes sense to use the rarely used ES as an OS during process mode, as it already contains all necessary functionalities and licenses.

This document is meant as a selection aid during searching for the suitable PC constellations for small plants. Various minimal configurations (up to a maximum of three PCs) are compared regarding their functionality. Since the respective PCS 7 configuration is not a focus of the system documentation, the activities necessary for the setup are given in form of detailed step-by-step instructions.
