In a project I need to control a step motor ( 4-phase, 1.8 degree) using a CPU 1200 connected to a Digital Stepping Driver (model: DM556). Can you help me to implement the plc program? should I use motion control technology? Do you have a project to give me?

I need to know how can I exactly control position of motor, by changing the frequency of pulses or by changing on-off time?

for example if I want to put it to 18 degree, I need 10 pulses? (10*1.8=18)

you mean that the same thing goes for controlling a step motor with a DM556 drive ?

 Yes. The pulse and direction signals are controlled by the motion control technology object. You already have the connection plan from the PDF you attached.

The commissioning interface on the technology object makes it possible to test the configuration even without any program ^**.

Where does your doubt remain?

EDIT 1: Clarifying a statement (^**).
"without any program"  is not literally true.
The user software program is not needed.

At a minimum the hardware configuration and technology object should be correctly configured and loaded into the PLC. Commissioning of the technology object is then possible when online with the PLC. A simulation with PLCSIM is not possible.
