Hello to all the experts.

I have a problem with the TM PosInput 2 module. I have to use an SSI absolute linear magnetic measuring system in conjunction with the above module. The configuration used is "Positioning axis" Technological Object with analog servo drive (using TIA V15).

The measuring system is ELGO EMAX and has the following characteristics (from datasheet):

• SSI telegram length = 25 bits
• Code type = Dual or Gray (selectable)
• Monoflop time = >60 μsec.
• Data bits = 24
• PFB (Power Failure Bit) = 1 (at the beginning of the telegram)

After the first commissioning, everything worked fine. However, when I turned the automation system off and on again, the absolute position value was lost.

In subsequent tests, I was able to find that the behavior is not always the same.

Sometimes it loses the value, other times it seems not to receive data from the transducer (for which the drive moves the motor for a while and then goes into alarm) and one more times the value is maintained and the count works regularly.

I have 2 identical sleds on the same machine and they behave the same way.

• Operating Mode = Position input for technology object "Motion Control"
• Signal Type = Absolute Encoder (SSI)
• Frame Lenght = 25 Bits
• Code Type = Dual (in accordance with the settings on the transducer)
• Transmission Rate = 125kHz
• Monoflop Time = 64 μsec.
• Parity = None
• Bit nr. LSB of the position value = 1
• Bit nr. MSB of the position value = 24
• Steps per revolution = 1
• Refrence speed = 320.00

In the TO settings for the data exchange with encoder i entered:

• Encoder Telegram = Telegram 83
• Measuring System = Linear
• Distance between increments = 0,01
• Bits in Gx_XIST1 = 0
• Bits in Gx_XIST2 = 24

Can anyone tell me where am I wrong?
